College of Business

As one of the largest business schools in the Midwest, Missouri State’s College of Business (COB) has a rich tradition of providing cutting-edge business education to its students and sourcing career-ready talent for state, regional and national employers. Our challenging curriculum, rooted in experiential learning, outstanding faculty, exceptional advisory boards, and engaged alumni ensures COB graduates not only succeed but excel in their chosen careers. Consistent with Missouri State’s Public Affairs mission, our graduates are also prepared to embrace community service and engagement regardless of where their careers take them.

Over 4,700 Missouri State University students are currently enrolled in COB undergraduate majors and graduate programs. Our 26 undergraduate programs and 6 graduate programs, offer students more options to specialize, which results in more opportunities and success for our graduates. This academic year, over 200 employers attended COB career fairs and events to recruit Biz Bears for internships and full-time roles. The success of our graduates is evident not only in the number of employers but more importantly their sustained commitment to recruiting COB’s talented students year after year.

We remain committed to providing students with the knowledge, skills and abilities needed in today’s rapidly changing global economy. To this end, the College has made significant investments in experiential learning labs to support our programs in sales, finance, IT and cybersecurity, and entrepreneurship. And we are not done yet; with the help of private gifts we are currently constructing additional labs, including one for accounting analytics. The practical knowledge and skills students are gaining in these labs are highly sought by employers. The impact of these labs is also evidenced by the consistent success of COB students in state, national and international competitions. We invite you to learn more about our college and academic offerings by visiting COB’s webpage or better yet visit campus and see first-hand how we’ve transformed Glass and Kemper Halls to provide students with a transformative education.
