Since its founding in 1902, Greenwood Laboratory School has not only served as a beacon of educational excellence but also as a cornerstone of community for students, parents, faculty, and alumni alike. Located on the campus of Missouri State University, Greenwood has always been more than just a school—it's a place where traditions are honored, friendships are formed, and futures are shaped.
For generations, families have celebrated the unique bond that Greenwood fosters—a sense of belonging, pride, and continuity. Many of us can trace our own families through the halls of Greenwood, with alumni and current students often sharing a deep connection that spans multiple generations.
But while our educational legacy is strong, the physical environment in which this learning takes place deserves our attention. Many of the classrooms, hallways, and spaces within Greenwood hold cherished memories for us, but they also reflect a time long past. Technology has advanced, classroom needs have evolved, and the way students learn has changed dramatically—yet many of our facilities have remained the same.
