OPT & KSMU

Ozarks Public Television (OPT), as the region’s PBS Member Station, provides a home in the Ozarks for television that informs, entertains, and inspires. OPT offers four 24/7 programming services – OPT HD, our signature service comprised of national and local public television programming; OPT PBS KIDS(R), a children’s programming service that provides a safe place for kids and families throughout the entire day; OPT CREATE, a lifestyle channel that offers programming focused on cooking, crafting, travel, and more; and OPT WORLD, which offers programming on science, nature, news, and public affairs. We also document, present, and preserve the history and local culture of the Ozarks through a commitment to local productions including documentary features, OzarksWatch Video Magazine, and Sense of Community.

KSMU, as the region’s NPR Member Station, strives to bring the highest quality information and entertainment to listeners throughout the Ozarks. Through a variety of programs, KSMU offers storytelling and entertainment that respects the listener’s time and intelligence. With locally produced music programs ranging from bluegrass to blues, KSMU provides something truly unique on the radio dial. And through local, regional, national, and international news, KSMU helps listeners stay informed on topics that affect their lives.

Your gift to OPT/KSMU will fund the purchase of essential equipment needed for the stations to continue educating, inspiring, and entertaining our community.
