The Division of Student Affairs is comprised of 25 functional areas that provide students with meaningful experiences and inclusive environments that promote holistic learning and development.
Our mission is to support student success, foster student engagement, inspire commitment to public affairs, and instill our students with a sense of pride and tradition.
Help us continue to improve the student experience here at MSU by giving to one of the following:
- URSA- Funds support a 3-day engagement camp that helps new students build friendships, get involved in campus life, learn university traditions, and get inspired to be a BEAR!
- Multicultural Resource Center- Funds provide space, resources, and programming designed to create an atmosphere that nurtures and supports our students.
- Campus Recreation- Funds promote health, wellness, and fitness programs for students through the Foster Recreation Center.
- Student Emergency Fund- Funds assist students who are confronted with an unforeseen personal crisis that has caused them to become unable to meet their college financial obligations.
- Student Affairs - General Funds- these funds allow us to be flexible and responsive to student needs by supporting new student initiatives.
- Multicultural Student Services- The Inclusive Excellence Scholarship is a unique scholarship program for students who have a civic interest in serving within their community, and those who actively engage in creating inclusive spaces for others. Students receive tuition assistance and some funds towards campus housing. Scholarship recipients have requirements to maintain eligibility for the award. The requirements are: to complete ten (10) hours of community service each semester, maintain a 2.75 GPA, complete a minimum of 27 credit hours per academic year, attend at least three (3) cultural events and participate in one (1) IES Group Connection activity each semester. Through program evaluation, students have expressed that they would like to have more opportunities to come together with other IES participants. The challenge is that there is no budget for this program beyond scholarship awards. The funds raised from this year's Giving Day campaign would positively impact the cultural and social components of the scholarship program. Community engagement, networking, and cultural awareness experiences could be increased for students. The scholarship program has grown in size, and any additional funds could go towards helping students be successful and make their Missouri statement. Please consider helping students increase their capacity on and off campus.
