Community engagement is a core component of the university’s public affairs mission. By promoting a campus culture that inspires community engagement, the Center for Community Engagement (through its programs and resources) aspires to develop students who are active citizens of enhanced character, sensitive to the needs of community, competent and committed in their ability to contribute to a global society, and civil in their habits of thought, speech, and action.
One Community Engagement program you can support is the Bear Pantry! The Bear Pantry's mission is to provide the MSU community with access to well-rounded, nutritious resources and education to increase food security and healthy lifestyle choices. Your donation directly supports the Bear Pantry's mission to feed our bears.
Another Community Engagement program you can support are Bear Breaks Immersion Trips! Educate. Engage. Empower. Bear Breaks Immersion programs feature the opportunity for students to spend their breaks (spring, summer, fall) serving, immersed in communities (local, national, or global). These experiences allow students to engage with communities, immerse themselves in cultures, test major and career choices, and grow as Citizen Bears. Your donation supports students' service and learning experiences!
