Athletics

Giving Day 2024 is an opportunity to show your support for the Bears! You can support Missouri State Athletics and enhance the student-athlete experience by giving to a specific sport or the general athletics fund to support the area(s) of greatest need. During this 36-hour event, you choose the program you're most passionate about and that gift will support their unique funding priorities that include areas such as:  

  • Nutrition & Wellness – assists in providing access to healthy food choices and promotes complete well-being of our student-athletes.
  • Travel – enhances the travel experience from transportation to accommodations and opens up expanded competition opportunities like tournaments across the nation. 
  • Equipment & Gear – helps to improve and evaluate student-athlete performance. 
  • Facilities Enhancements – keeps our facilities updated and competitive. Facilities are a powerful tool for recruiting the best student-athletes for the Bears. 

Matches and Challenges:

  • MSU Athletics: Over $12,100 in matching gifts are available with a $10,000 bonus gift that will be unlocked once 25 people make a gift to the general athletics fund. 
  • Men’s Basketball: When 25 people give $5,000 additional dollars will be unlocked. Matching gifts are available for up to $5,000. 
  • Women's Basketball: $15,500 in matching gifts are available with a $5,000 bonus gift that will be unlocked once 25 people make a gift. 
  • Football: $7,000 in matching funds are available for every dollar donated. 
  • Men’s and Women's Swimming and Diving: Every gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $3,000. 
  • Baseball: $16,000 in matching gifts are available with a $5,000 bonus gift that will be unlocked once 50 people make a gift. 
  • Softball: $3,900 in matching funds are available for every dollar donated. 
  • Volleyball: Donations of $100 or more will be eligible for special donor recognition in Hammons Student Center with your name on a seat!
  • Women's Tennis: Every gift to Women's Tennis will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $2,000. 
  • Women's Soccer: $10,000 in matching gifts are available with a $4,000 bonus gift that will be unlocked once 35 people make a gift. Plus, donations of $1,500 or more will be eligible for special donor recognition on a locker in the new women's soccer locker room! 
  • Men's Soccer: When 75 people give 5,000 additional dollars will be unlocked. Matching gifts are available for up to $11,166. 
  • Women’s Golf: When 30 people give, $5,000 additional dollars will be unlocked.
  • Men’s Golf: $6,000 in matching funds are available for every dollar donated.
